# FAQ and troubleshooting

You scheduled a Continue for 03:00 and it didn't go out.
Usually [Agent Auto-Continue](https://ryansam.com/agent-auto-continue/) held it back on purpose, and the row's details say why.

## Why didn't it send?

- **Still at its usage limit:** skipped (`usage_limited`).
- **You'd replied since scheduling:** cancelled, so it never talks over you.
- **Conversation archived or deleted:** cancelled.
- **Agent waiting for your answer:** not sent (`awaiting_input`), and you're told.
- **Agent still working, or the Claude Code session still open:** waiting (`conversation_busy`).
- **Mac asleep:** sent late, after wake ([keep it awake](https://ryansam.com/agent-auto-continue/keep-mac-awake/)).
- **Mac locked, sending to Claude Desktop or the ChatGPT app:** waiting for the unlock.

Exit the Claude Code session or unlock the Mac and a waiting one-off goes out; after six hours it gives up unsent.
After a limit, **Continue again** and pick **When free** to wait for the reset.
Claude Code and Desktop limits are inferred, so one with no known reset doesn't block a send.

## What does "Delivery unconfirmed" mean?

The send was interrupted or its result was unclear, so the app can't prove the message arrived.
It may have, so it's never resent.

1. Press **Check** on its row (**Check delivery** in its details).
It only reads, and confirms delivery if it finds it.
2. Still unconfirmed?
Look yourself; the app may read only part of it.
3. If it really isn't there, choose **Mark as not delivered** in the row's details and confirm.
   Marking never sends anything.
If it did arrive, step 4 sends it twice.
4. Then **Continue again** a one-off, or **Resume** a paused continuation to send that turn again.

![The Agent Auto-Continue queue with three items, and under Recent a Claude Code message, Clean up old flags, marked Delivery unconfirmed with a Check button beside it. A blue box marks that row.](https://ryansam.com/_astro/unconfirmed-light.DDwzK885.png)

*Unconfirmed means check first; the app never resends on its own.*

## Why did my continuation pause?

Three usage-limited turns in a row, or three completed turns that each took under a minute (the task may be done).
Also your own new message, the agent asking a question or for approval, a failed send or turn, a turn still running after 24 hours, an app change or an unconfirmed delivery.

A paused chain sends nothing.
**Resume** carries on without resending a delivered turn, and **Stop** ends it.
A [stop phrase](https://ryansam.com/agent-auto-continue/what-to-say/) lets a finished task end itself instead of pausing ([overnight guide](https://ryansam.com/agent-auto-continue/overnight/)).

## Accessibility for Claude Desktop and the ChatGPT app

Agent Auto-Continue fills in their message box and presses send through macOS Accessibility.
Grant it in [System Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessibility](https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/mac-help/mh43185/mac), using the add button if it isn't listed.
It never pops up the permission prompt itself, so do it before you schedule.
Without it, the send fails with `permission_required` before anything is typed.
The target app must be running and the Mac unlocked when the message is due.

## The dashboard says an app "isn't supported yet"

Claude Desktop or the ChatGPT app updated and changed something Agent Auto-Continue relies on, like the message box's label.
Nothing was sent.
Read-only checks at launch, and every five minutes while something waits, usually catch it early.
Queued messages fail unsent if the problem's still there when they're due, and continuations pause.
Wait for an Agent Auto-Continue update, press **Check again**, then resume.
**Copy diagnostics** gives you a bug report without message text or conversation titles.

## My agent or conversation isn't listed

- **Hidden.** Tick **Show** in Settings > Agents.
- **T3 Code** needs its bearer token ([install](https://ryansam.com/agent-auto-continue/install/)).
- **OpenCode** needs `opencode serve --port 4096` running, with that port in Settings.
- **CLI not found.** Set its path in Settings > Agents.
- **Settled T3 Code threads** hide until **Show settled too**; archived ones never show.
- **Another app owns it.** Codex threads belong to the app that made them, and Claude Desktop sessions don't appear under Claude Code.
- **Chats.** Plain ChatGPT and Claude chats aren't supported ([why](https://ryansam.com/agent-auto-continue/agents/)).

## Does it send anything to a server?

No telemetry, analytics or crash reporting, and no server of its own.
It talks to your agents on this Mac and checks GitHub for updates, sending nothing about you.
Your T3 Code token and schedules stay on the Mac, and [remote control](https://ryansam.com/agent-auto-continue/remote-control/) is off by default.

## How do I report a bug?

[Open an issue on GitHub](https://github.com/VelvetAcorn/agent-auto-continue/issues), with the diagnostics report if an app changed.
Security problems go privately, as [SECURITY.md](https://github.com/VelvetAcorn/agent-auto-continue/blob/main/SECURITY.md) explains.
